After a slow start due to another of Sue's migraines, we headed out to Times Square to have lunch with an acqauintance of Sue from Australia. Caitlin met us on 42nd Street and took us to Oscar's for lunch. Over lunch - sandwiches and french fries for the women and an Oscar's burger for me - Caitlin and Sue discussed their researches, Caitlin being in biochemistry at Columbia University.
After lunch we parted - Caitlin was off to Paris, France for a long weekend - and Sue and I found our way to a NYC tourist office where Sue bought a couple of postcards and fridge magnets. Then we bought tickets to Once for Friday night at Jacobs Theatre.
In the evening we went to a japanese restaurant on 8th Ave, between 36th and 37th Streets. An enjoyable, reasonably priced meal.
The weather so far has been fine and warm, about 30 C, not too humid -very pleasant for touristing.
