Day 5 - to New Haven

We went down to breakfast as usual, and nearly had to dine in our room due to the crush of guests. However we noticed an empty table just as we were about to leave so ended up with a relaxing breakfast. We then went to pack and have a coffee - this hotel chain (Holiday Inn Express - http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/en/reservation?sicreative=14904451225&sicontent=0&sitrackingid=9445516&siclientid=1956 ) puts a filtered coffee machine in each room. There are no kettles so tea is not an option. After squeezing our belongings back into our 3 cases and my back pack we went to buy some sandwiches for lunch which we were expecting to eat on the train. We had anticipated catching the 12:07 train, but were so organised and the taxi driver so efficient we caught the 11:07 train. No-one was eating or even drinking on the train, so we held off until we arrived at our lodgings.

The train arrived at New Haven punctually. After 2 elevator rides we found the taxi rank and were quickly set down at Premiere Hotel and Suites (http://www.newhavensuites.com/ ) where we had been upgraded to a two-bed penthouse, no less!! We had lunch in the breakfast room while the suite was prepared, then lugged the cases up some stairs to the suite. WOW! Full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, 3 TVs, internet, open fire (not that we'll need it at 30C).

Looking forward to a good night's sleep before investigating New Haven tomorrow.
